I don't know how you guys keep track of what was out durring those years, heck I have a hard time recalling much of where I was! There was however some great stuff meaning not top 40, but in those years few cared about the top 40; even the radio stations played everyone. I still have a box full of old vinyl; Grand Funk to Otis Redding, and everything in between.

some people can recite how many home runs mickey manlte hit in each year he played... some people can remember reading the liner notes of their favorite albums growing up... and to make sure I remember correctly, I check years of my songs on that interwebs thing that al gore gave us

Ah, 1970 the year of enlightenment. I was in the Army at Ft. Lewis, WA and I had on amazing weekend right after New Year. I had tickets for the West Coast version of HAIR on Friday night. Saturday night I had tickets for Credence Clearwater Revival with Muddy Waters opening for them.
