I need these clips for the hood emblem and the engine lid letters. The going porsche price seems really high. I am not a concours person so any kind of a clean looking solution will do.
Any suggestions?

Thanks
Gint
Moved to the garage. A discussion and request for an alternative vendor and type of new clips doesn't constitute a classified ad IMO. And I wouldn't mind finding a set myself. How much are the Porsche prices?

$1.25 each at Pelican. here

These aren't factory, BTW.

Would these work?

Yeah! These small ones probably would. I'd have to measure the pin size on the letters. 1/8" sounds about right though.

Morph sells them.

I went to Ace hardware and got mine in the fastener isle. They work fine and were .20 each I think. Just bring a letter with you so you can find the best fitting size.

That's where I got mine.

I think I paid about $1.25 each for the rubber backed ones at the Newport Beach Porsche dealership. No shipping costs.

If you need them sealed, just place a small dab of black silicone inside the speed nut and screw in place. I did this on the engine grill and Porsche letters. $1.25 per nut ? not me!

These seem like they will work. Good deal for 50 of them; but still $12 plus shipping.

The $1.25 + price is just ridiculous! Looks like I'll be going to ACE or the local hardware and asking for "push nuts". blink.gif

You can get speednuts at lots of places cheap. My auto paint store even has them but I would try the ace or lowes or home depot first for the cheapest prices. If you are lucky you might even find ss.
