I notice some cars have 'em and some don't so do they get added in restoration or lost in restoration?
Sorry for the totally newbie question but its a start...

What he meant to say was that no production 914 came with the hood badge from the factory ...
Prototype cars don't count.

Yes...and if you have that 914 in the picture, I would assume you're on the run, wanted by the German authorities and wouldn't be posting in an open forum:)

Interesting to note, in that photograph above, Ferrys' 914-8 has a welded roof that is NOT like a 916 roof- no rain gutters! Yes, I know it has a sunroof.

You understand that this will beat everything else that is currently street legal. Oh, and don't forget, you will actually be able to lift (a little) in a corner without spinning the car.

Notice how the side window tops are actually curved to match the damn glass
How nice! Anyone who has messed with the door/window adjustment can appreciate how AWESOME it would be to have a curved seal. Maybe I will get Mikey914 on this.

The car in the background is a 914-6 with 5 lug mag. Mahle's also. Let's just say no production cars were imported with badges, however, at our dealership we put badges on every car. Mine even has an orange stripe badge.
