My local Costco sells the #35 for $125, local Pep boys sells #34 for $185. Will the 35 work? Thanks, Mark

35 dimensions -

Length 9 - 5/16"
Width 6-13/16"
Height 7-5/8"
Weight 31.7

34 dimensions

Length 10"
Width 6-7/8"
Height 7-13/16"
Weight 37.9

On the 34, you have to shave maybe a 1/4" or so, off the base on both sides to get it to fit in the tray.

the costco optima i bought fits great. i'm not sure of the number but i'm guessing it's the 35 as it's the only red top carried at our local costco

Note the height difference if you have a rain tray...

Also, 37 lbs might be a bit of a load for an already fragile spot... sad.gif

He's saying the shorter & lighter 34 is at Costco for $60 less - sounds like a deal to me.

IMHO - Take a tape measure & the teener to Costco & check it out, & save yourself a few bucks.

35 Tom tongue.gif Sounds like a better way to go. That 34 is pretty heavy. I think the puck adapter is the 78 model to secure it to the tray. Might want to see if it also works for the 35 series.

I got a tiny sealed 17 pounder with brass terminals from Tire Rack made by Braille. Complete with plastic mounting bracket to mount in any position. There is an optional aluminum bracket suitable for racing.

And it did not cost $2000, less than $200.
