I have to re-work my fuel system now to convert to carbs. Have Holley black now that flows 140 gph @ 4psi. I will run a 3 port return type regulator at 3.5 psi.

Should I switch to a lower capacity pump like the red at 70 gph @ 4psi or just keep the black?

Thanks,
dr

FWIW, this site seemed to have some good info on fuel pumps.

thanks but I don't buy alot of what they are saying regarding pumps and regulators.

maybe its true for street cars without return lines but I'll wait for some others to weigh in.

keep the pump you have, let the regulator do its job. Buy beer with the money you saved not buying a new pump!! Or buy some other thing you need for the car!

What Tim said.
Pump's fine.

Get a inline fuel pressure gauge. Mine is mounted right next to the regulator.
