I have been messin with this 1975 1.8L L-Jet 4 Cyl,started last june on the project. The car had been sitting in the garage for the last 17 yrs.The car cleaned up pretty good.Replaced the battery, all the fuel lines, all the vacuum lines, filters, gaskets, fuelpump.Gave it a full tune up,plus had all the injectrs and cold start valve cleaned and resealed.Changed all fuses and relays. The car started up fine and runs strong and idels well.It has good compressin in all four cyl.I had to fixx the rear trunk bracket because the weld broke on the lft. side. The cloth on the seats is a little torn,so i put covers on them. But the rest of the interior is in good shape.I had to fixx a side marker light. The car overall seems pretty rust free, except for light surface rust. The battery tray and bracket had to be repaced, but the hell hole is in pretty remarkabul shape, also some light rust under the rocker panels, but very little. The rims on the car have the most rust, but thats because the car got a shitty repaint back in 1990,and the painter deceided to paint the rims 2.Plus the dick stole the porsche emblem off the hood. These pictures were of the day, my kids and I, first pulled the teener out of the garage. This was before any work realy started. The car looks much better now.So no I am trying to figure out how to post some stuff. If this works,I have tons more if anyone wants to see.The car runs, but the clutch needs to be repaced next,I think when I do that and have the trans out.I might send it to Dr. Evil for a rebuild, even though it seems to work fine, its got 98,000 on it.I am also thinking Rennshift upgrade.I want to thank everyone here, for the help I have found on this site.I am not a mechanic, but in love with 914teens.Jaymann

Yes i think you most likely have a good one, as long as the hell hole is ok and pass long is ok, then i would take some time and make a plan where you want to end up with the car...

That is not a difficult one. If you want to do some work on it before I leave in June/July, I can come over and at least give it a once over. smile.gif

There are two guys near me that have a lot of parts for sale. I can get you some different wheels if you like. Those steelies suck. PM me and we can chat.
