well the title sums it up i guess. i went and put it in hemmings so i guess i'm serious. i've owned her since 1988 and have just finished a ground up resto/mod. i have o.e. changed parts and everything can be put to stock, but with modern improvements why? i planned on keeping it forever, but as some of you may know i had a pretty severe back/spinal injury 7 years ago now. that said, i think i should find a good owner to take care of this truley unique and special mustang. s-code big block 1967 GTA mustang complete with marti report. i've owned and loved this car for 22 years! since 1988. it breaks my heart, but reasons out of my control i am putting it up for sale. it is a true, very well optioned, 99.9% rust free GTA. this original black plate california mustang has a very unique history. it had under 100,000 origanal miles before "frame off" restoration. it was only on the road until 1979. it was again put back on the road after spending 22 years in my climate controlled shop, making it a 31 year "in the barn find". the summer of 2008 it saw it's first local car show and then was used recently for my son's wedding as the "just married get away car". with less than 200 limited miles on it since it's rotisary "frame off" nut for nut restoration, nothing untouched or ignored. this mustang is as new and solid as they come. as a retired certified ford and a.s.e. master mechanic, with extensive mustang/shelby restoration experiance, i tastefully restored and upgraded it as a "resto/mod", with every intention of keeping it forever. all modifications could be put back to o.e. if so desired. this GTA has had the best of everything. contact me with any questions you may have i will do me very best to answer in detail. please enjoy the following details of the car. i have 2 HUGE files of receipts and past registration documentation. this has had no expense spared. now is a great opertunity to bid on a very unusual and rare car.

HISTORY:
this car came from the san jose, ca. plant and has resided in californias central valley all it's life. the weather is hot and dry, the perfect rust free inviroment. i purchased it from the previous owner who bought it with engine damage in 1979. it sat with him until 1988. he was getting married and needed to sell for finantial reasons. i was working for ford at that time so i bought every n.o.s. part i could get my hands on. raising a young family slowed the restoration, but in reality created the perfect quality control to guide it's maticulous restoration. a custom rotisary was used and EVERY nut & bolt removed. the original paint body was media blasted inside and out, exposing 99.9% rust free original metal. the ONLY rust spot on this entire car was the size of a dime. it was where the trunk drain had plugged, holding in moisture. EVERY component has been rebuilt or replaced and N.O.S. parts where used whenever possible. this GTA's underside was painted in detail while the interior was insulated with sound deadner to cut noise and improve comfort. this mustang received many touches that your typical restoration wouldn't even consider. i recently was very fortunate to have Carrol Shelby autograph it's dash! this mustang truely is a unique carrol shelby autographed,GTA. everything was done with attention to detail. this car is a blast to drive or just look at!
several years back i had a motorcycle injury prompting me to find another owner to care for this truely special vehicle with very little to do to make perfect. ford did it right on this mustang. it was motor trends 1967 "car of the year". look at all you get!
