So I finally got round to installing my SS heat exchangers. They looked to be in excellent shape, except for a dent that sits about 5 inches down from the head end of the pipe.

Is a manufacturing remnant (i.e., they all have this)? Seems unlikely to me. confused24.gif

If not, anyone know what effect this would have?

I've got them on the car now. Haven't really tested it fully, but all seems good except that I get a very low-pitched rumble when at idle. It sounds like I'm next to a diesel big rig or some kickin subwoofers. In fact, it's that low rumble that got me wondering about the exhaust.

Feedback appreciated. Pics following.

Might that be to clear the push rod tubes. I know mine are dimpled for them. I can't quite recall what all the "dimples" look like.

They (SS HE's) all look like that. It will have no impact to operation at all.

Increases the slip stream under the car.
