I think that was just thrown in the trunk - doesn't look like a 914 part to me..

Looks like something from a late 50's to early 60's American car. Possibly a battery tray for a late 50's truck. Not real sure though

That's not a factory 914 piece.

I believe you're all correct. There is a homemade battery tray in the car. I think maybe it was being concidered as a candidate. Thanks

Seems strange you'd want to name a rusty old part like that, but what the hell.

Looks like a heat shield that goes between rocker cover and muffler on a Corvair.
