Full Version: Cranshaft/pilot bearing spacer

Looks like my engine did not have the spacer in the end of the crankshaft that keeps the pilot bearing from slipping into the crank. Do I really need this? The pilot bearing fits really tight (had to drive it in with a socket) so it seems like its not going anywhere. Thinking i could always put the old pilot bearing into the crank....cannot seem what harm it would do. What do ya'll think?

Getting really close to firing up the new engine on a stand this weekend!
