Attention all V8 gurus!

What to do...

Should I put an extra washer under the clutch fork pivot ball. Right now, it has one washer in place. idea.gif

Also, I read that the transaxle input shat seal cover's studs (2) should be replaced with two bolts for additional clearance.

Any thoughts/opinions are greatly appreciated! type.gif

i think it may vary from car to car.

try putting one washer on and bolt the transaxle to the engine and feel the play at the clutch fork. if it is very minimal then you're right on. If the tranny wont mate to the engine, take a washer out. If it mates but has excessive play, add a washer. You will use the entire throw of the clutch fork. Most i've seen actually have the throwout bearing resting on the pr. plate full time, and just not engaging.

Good luck. =)
