3 strings, you can do more or less. the tuners I got were some cheap repair parts. I have made some friction tuners by using my sanding machine and some oak and maple.

The neck is just 1.5 inch hard maple, about 30 inches long. I am using a manifold stud for a bridge and either a piece of a brake caliper or repair bone for the nut.

You can install frets, but we did not on this one. Fret wire is available for short money.

The cigar box is just a cigar box. cut out the box for the thickness of the wood, 3/4 inch or what ever you have. then dado for the thickness of the lid. we sealed everything up with hot melt glue. you can use nails or whatever.

The electric pickup is a pizeo buzzer from radio shack. about 2 bucks. installed with double sided tape. no sound holes were cut, I don't know if it would help or hurt the sound.

the strings pass through some 3/16 aluminum rivet bodies... simple no?

I think I can make one in about an hour...it is too easy to rush just to hear the sound...
