Can anyone here help me find an honest mechanic in the Los Angeles area or even Orange county. I need some engine work that needs to be done. Can anyone guide me in the right direction? thanks

howdy neighbor beer.gif i havent got that far nor do i have that moiney right now bso i can only relay what i have seen on the forums..there is a guy in costa mesa i believe but a search should reveal this same discussion a few months ago. also, Lloyd Mosher in Upland has been referred to me. google "littlegiantkillervw" that's him. hope this helps beerchug.gif Dave

drive down to san diego and take the train back. you would not be my first customer from "up north". high volume shops have been shying away from our old little cars.

A few years back i found this guy; a bug, bus, dune buggy mechanic. He tuned up the 14, valve adjustment, webers adjusted...$250.

You should go visit John Williamson at Otto's. He owns the shop and loves 914's. IMHO, him and George Hussey of Auto Atlanta are probably the two most knowlegeable people on 914's in the US. John has also raced 914's successfully since they first came out.
