Need a little help for a neighbor who has a 911T and rarely drives it. Batteries need to be replaced. What would be a good replacement for two (2) Interstate 50's with CCA 300. Dims are 7 x 8 x 7

He definately wants to replace both and kinda keep it original

Thanks,

jim

I've looked pretty extensively before, and interstate may just be the last convenient source for 911 dual batteries. And they're NOT cheap anymore.

Thanks Cap'n,

After looking on-line for an hour, I've found the U911-50 battery runs around $106

After replacing a couple of sets over the years, I opted to mount a full size battery in the smugglers box (It's not original but easily done and reversable)

Ive got sealed gel sonnenschien, think thats how its spelled, in mine.
I think 6-7 yrs ago the were 150 apiece.
They need to be replaced for this upcoming season and I hope to use againas

I'm using Interstates in mine.

Some say Sonnenschein is the way to go. Look for the DF75 (A512 /40 A) gel cells - www.batterysales.com

There's enough links within these links to keep you/him busy. Get out thy checkbook...

The owner of the 911T doesn't drive it enough to keep it properly charged. I'm thinking a battry maintainer would solve this; however, I'm not sure how to wire it up to the dual battery set up.

Any suggestions will be appreciated.

Putting a maintainer on a dual battery set up should be no different than a single battery set up.

As they are permanently wired in parallel, just attach it to one of the batteries and you are charging both.

Have fun and we had to go with the Interstates in order to keep it original looking.

I'd be surprised if you couldn't find something here that would fit. Plus, no liquid paint remover. They are all dry-cell.
