a club member wants to buy my Rivieras but the shipping quotes from UPS and USPS were stupid high. what am I missing here. please advise me of teh cheapest way to ship 4 bare rims. wheels weigh 16lbs. box is about 20x20x7. $100 bucks to ship all four seems hihg to me.

Fedex ground or greyhound

I shipped some phone dials by FedEx and the total was 100 less than UPS. something like $40 per 2

sounds close.. mine was 90 for all 4

the 'one big box' will kill you on dimensional weight.
shipping them in pairs may bring the total down.

fuel is expensive and not going down - the cheap shipping days are over...
