I have seen people putting 205s on the Mahle wheels, and I have a set of Hoosier SM compound tires in that size. I got some cheap 225 V710s, and was wondering if anyone ever jammed them on. I know there might be some clearance problems with the fender, but is there any problem inboard (strut, inner fender, etc.) This is for my GRM Challenge car so I can cut fenders if I have to. I just want to know if anyone has ever put them on the wheels.

If I can't use them on the 914, I'll throw them on the Subaru and run them for a while.

710s like a wider wheel to be really effective. I ran my 205 710s on 7" wheels.

225s would need at least a 7"+ wide wheel to be worth the effort...

205s on a 5.5 is doable altough not ideal...we all do that one...but 225 is just too much tire....lots of side wall buldge.

Figured that much. Guess it will be a cheap set of autocross/hillclimb tires for the Subie then.
