I have a set and I want to use 15" wheels to get a little kick out of autocross corners. I just happen to have a set of 15X7 911 Cookie Cutters in the basement. Anyone with experience?

As goofy as it is some yes and some no. We have had to roll the fenders a touch to get them to work on some and others they fit perfectly without doing anything.

I have a choice between 205 50 15 tires and 225 45 15. I know you can put a 205 on a 5.5 and a 6 but what about a 7? Maybe I should be considering the 225?

225s will not fit without some serious rolling of the fenders. We have a guy up here that is running 8x15 Fuchs with 225s but he pulled his fenders a good deal. It does look good though

205 will fit fine on the 7" rims ...

Just don't use 205 Hoosiers as they're a good inch wider than any other 205 tire out there ...

Ok, So I guess the question should be has anyone put 205 45 15 Hoosier A6 tires on a narrow body car and gotten away with only rolling the fenders?

I think 6freak has... but not too sure. The guy running the 225s on 8s only has rolled fenders and he is running A6s so I would imagine you're in the clear Rob.

Yeh ... but I run 185s and driver's side has minimal clearance.

Currently I am using 16x7 Fuchs with Hoosier R6 205/45. My rear fenders are stock metal but pulled and rolled fairly aggressively.

My 71 narrow body, not like I have a wide body (car anyway), has 15x7 Cookies on the rears with 195/60 tires and there is no way 205/50's would clear. There is less than a 1/4" of clearance.

It has had the rear fender lip rolled and a lot of negative camber in the rear. Back when the car ran and I auto-x with it I ran 205/50 15's on 6" cookies for auto-x and 195/60/15's on 6" & 7" cookies for the street.

I think if you want 205's on 7's you will have to work on the rear fenders.

You wanting a little more grip at the auto-x?

I have a set of early (all silver finish) 6x15 cookies but 1 is bent.
And I have a set of later (black center, machined lip) 6 & 7 cookies.
You could use a pair of early 6's and a pair of late 6's.

I am looking for a bit of a gear change to get out of the corners quicker. More grip would be nice too but you know that since you co-drive the car

I do have lots of negative camber. I would have to check with Ron but I think he set my rear at more than 2 degrees negative. I agree though, it would be tight.

These are the cookies I was going to give you for helping me rebuild the 915 in my Carrera anyway! LOL... We should get that done so you and Mary have a Porsche to drive at WCR.

The cookies are a good wheel....only a pound heavier than Fuch of the same size and a hell of a lot cheaper. Not as pretty, tho.

Yes, "pulled" via hammer & dolly. But 8 hours & 5000 hammer whacks each...my hands were younger then.
