When I first started into 914s, a friend of mine gave me a set of exhaust nuts that were 12 mm. It is surprising how much much difference that 1mm makes installing or removing HE's. I have looked around and found that Paragon carries them. Thinking about using a set to install the ER headers. Any one else using these?

I had the niffty copper slit cut ones, they were really NICE and worth it. I need to order some more!

Built in flange, and a crimp in the threads? Those are commonly known as "BMW Exhaust Flange Nuts".
Yeah, pretty sure we all use them.
They're a single use item, but at 2-bits a pop, who cares?

We first noticed them on 924 exhaust back in 1977 when I was 7.
Never looked backed. It is all I use.

I include them with every header I sell!

I used them on the brown car. Slick! Much nicer than pulling the exchangers off with the stocker nuts. In fact, I even bought them from HPH.

Yup, they're the only way to go! I think all of the popular vendors carry them. As a bonus, they're about one-eighth the price of the stock nuts!!
