Damn, Craig!
Where was THAT car when I was buying?!
I saw the mail and read the link, the prototypes look pretty good.
I doubt that I'll be first in line, but may end up there. What ever happened
to the $750 price they were asking? Once the product is close the price goes up?

Sorry this was an email from George. Not Wayne.

no, ol george used to have ads in Pano and Excell. for a lower price than his website for the steel repros.
I wish it were Wayne that was producing the flares, you'd trust that the money would buy something other than a new car for hussey.

They were collecting money when I bought the blue car in '99.
I'm not sure how long before that.

Ha! I've figured it out! It's a pyramid scheme! Here's the deal:
1) Get 100 people to give you $700 each for flares
2) Buy 50 sets of flares for $1,400
3) Ship flares to first 50 people.
4) First 50 people tell community they got their $700 flares.
5) 100 more people pay $700 each.
6) Buy 50 more sets of flares for $1,400 and ship to second 50 customers.
7) More people get excited and another 100 orders are placed.
8) Keep this up until you can't keep up.

I went thru the article. They are doing them correctly. The tooling and trim dies look bitchin. I'm seriously impressed. I now wonder if Wayne@PP was/is working a deal with them ??

Not available... but available for
pre-order - typical AA.
"The Flare Witch Project" - your wallet disappears and you have nothing to show for it but grainy pictures.

I was spamed again last night for that company, this time with a color advertisement of the flares. They claim they're in stock. BTW, I wasn't serious when I pasted to the 914 list!

It looks like the flares
may be available. Z's best buddy, Treadway, has a set for sale on eBay.

Interesting, Paul.
Notice that there are no pictures in the ad, other than the advertising shot they'e been using for a while?
Treadway? You reading this? Put up individual pictures of each flare, front and back and someone might bid.

starting bid is higher than I want to pay. I'd pay $600.00 and they'd make money. Aution clearly lists the shipping & handling $ 35.00 that's fair.

Shows he's as trustworthy as Sadam & Bin Laden.
You must take pictures of the flares along with a copy of today's Wall Street Journal and place them in the auction or we will "liberate" you.

Here's the deal for you guys who don't want to deal with George at AA. My factory steel GT flares are for sale @ $2,600.00 plus freight. I then buy George's for $950 & pocket the difference or use for installation. My last purchase from AA was a set of floor mats. I was pleasantly surprised when they were delivered on time and George matched the Porsche logo color to the yellow color of my 914. My experience has been good using AA.
