after the lokal FLAPS informed me that the 70-71 momo hubs are NLA, i spend two hours on the lathe and mill,and made my own hub

How did you cut the inside splines?

Looks like he used parts of the oem steering wheel for the spline portion then bolted it to his hub.. you must have read the article in excellence project 914-6. sawzall-smiley.gif smash.gif nice work.

Thats how I made mine 2 years ago. Those busted up junk stock wheels can still be usefull!

Nice work....If intended for a street driven 914 are you going to add the horn contact ring so the turn signal switch will cancel??? smash.gif

I used a stock vw wheel in 65 to mount a grant wood wheel in my 58 bug. Then I didn't have a mill or lathe except at college in industrial arts lab.

There are still a bunch of Momo hubs on ebay. That's where I got mine.

Early 911 or 914/6. Doesn't fit the '70-'71 /4.
