how much does the distance shift between Momo hub and stock wheel?
From all the pictures they look nearly the same, but are they?
or is Momo closer to the seat?
how close?

The momo hub that I am using acutally is further away. So close in fact that if you have a finger just a little bit up (or big gloves on) you will hit the turn or wiper lever.

Thats where the dish of the wheel comes in, flat or amount of dish or you can add a quick disconnect adapter to take the wheel off.

I have a Prototipo, and I kept hitting the wiper lever with the backs of my fingers, so farther away than stock. I found a 1.5" spacer that puts the wheel at a good distance from the wiper lever, and closer to me!
