ok, here's the situation...

I pulled the new brake rotors off of my white car(they'd been installed for about 1 year with very few miles) to put on my red car...

problem is, now the brake calipers won't straddle the rotor when installed... it looks like the rotor should be about 1/16"-1/8" closer to the brake caliper mount...

I can't figure out why... the inner bearing goes all the way to the point on the splindle that it should go, and its "race" is all the way in... these rotors fit perfect on my other '72...

here's my question, did they change the rotors at some point during the '72 run? if so, what point? and does that mean I need to buy new front rotors? the ones from '73+?

thanks!
ejm
The factory changed the strut housing, ball joint, caliper and rotor at VIN 4722919032.

the calipers look VERY similar though... I hope they are the right ones...

just to make sure I did this right...

I ordered the 73+ brake pads instead of the '72+... is that right? confused24.gif

when I make any orders for the front end parts, do I say I want the 73+ part?
