I need new tires. What size would everyone recommend?
Mark Henry
Welcome fellow canuck!

Depends what you have for rims, etc...tell us what you have.

Stock Fuch's can handle 195/65 or 60 easy, but on very few early cars you may have to roll the fender slightly.

I run 205/50 in my 70. A PO did roll the fender a bit.

what's your intended use ? if it's a daily driver with no track use, the 165 will delivery good economy and good rain performance. the big sidewalls give good ride.

if you'd like to keep your speedo calibration consistent, you'll want a tire with an equivalent rolling radius.

185/70 was a popular "upgrade" when the cars were young.

i'd recommend a tire that's consistent with your intended use...

I have the standard size rim regular steel wheels. I use the car as a regular driver so I am looking to keep my speedo the same and comfort( if that is possible) the same.

The best choices would be the 185/70-15 or for a bit more beef the 195/65-15.

I have the 185/70-15 on my teen right now, works good.

Mark, where did you find 185/70's? Everywhere I look they say NLA.

LOL! Maybe they'd have a nice wide whitewall on them too like some of the other Coker stuff.

I asked at Canadian tire and they said NLA but they're weiners anyways.

I just bought a good used set of BFG comp T/A's 185/70VR15, an hour ago off of Mike Galloway!

The set on my teen were made by Riken (sp?) I'll ask my tire guy tomorrow as I'm mounting these (on fuch's) on my Squareback. The set on my teen has one bad tire, so I'm going with 195's till I can afford bling rims.
