You can always offer the members some pre-cut pieces and recoup your cost. Do not for get they will also work for the front air box drains.

HD racing delivers!
Bruce Stone was the first to discover the HD racing drain tubes. sprinkler hose, right? the ribs are spiral, unlike the concentric ribs of teh OEM drain tubes
EdwardBlume
Yes. Exactly, they are spiral instead of parallel. Seem to be strong and fit perfectly inside and out. The downside is that the investment from HD is $22 including tax. I have 3 pairs sitting here.

I went to HD and could not find the stuff noted above sad.gif ......... it may be NLA as the employees there could not even find the sku # in the HD computer (tried 2 HDs here in Southern Califonia). In such case;

I used 5034K18 from mc master carr and the material construction was perfect for this application. Nice interference fit onto the plastic drain nipples (no hose clamps needed) and it sealed perfectly into the factory grommets below. It also holds its cylindrical shape well as it has a 1/8" wall. IMO it looks cleaner and works better than what the factory used smile.gif!!! The finish is smooth and will not trap debris the way my factory corrugated versions did. Not for those OEM restorations though.

Abrasion-Resistant Blk Neoprene Rubber Tubing
7/8" ID, 1-1/8" OD, 1/8" Wall Thk

Note:
O.D. of the 914 drain nipples was about .941" ........... the mcmaster hose I.D. is .875" .......... makes for a nice snug clampless fit smile.gif

I've never looked for it but remember hearing dishwasher drain hose is very close too

I bought the same stuff at Home Depot up here in Canada.

Post a SKU or UPC number off the receipt if you still have the receipt, that way you can check stock in a store on their computer

I'm in Long Beach and have a crapload left over. If anyone local is interested for a six pack I will set you up with what you need for the whole car.

I'd be interested in a set. I broke one of mine putting the battery in.

The hose is called Becker Irrigation Hose. I saw I at HD in an obscure location around the garden supplies. Not in plain sight.....
