I swapped to a 911 brake setup and never attempted to look at the part number on the caliper, now I want to purchase pads for it, and since the car is on jack stands in the rear with the engine hanging I can't lift the front and pull off the front wheels.

I can see a 233 on the outside of one and 290 on the other caliper, a 30 on the inside of one? I have no idea what these mean? Where is a part number on the calipers?

I see what I think is the stamp ATC or ATS or ATZ? can't quite tell...

I think it says ATE. None of that numbers stuff means anything, just casting numbers etc.

Here's how you can tell:

* M9 Fasteners with a Ribe R6 head and "14mm Nuts" = A-Caliper
* Fluid Inlet at the base of a widow's peak in the back = A-Caliper
* The heaviest caliper ATE ever made for a 911 = A-Caliper

* M8 Fasteners with a Ribe R8 head and 13mm nuts = M-Caliper
* Fluid Inlet on the side with a banjo fitting = M-Caliper (if it has the13mm nuts)

A-Calipers take AP45 Pads (from Porterfield)
M-Calipers take AP31 Pads
