Try your local retail auto part store like Kragen-O'Reily's. They have 1/4" universal bolt pattern spacers for about $20 a pair. I have a friend who is using this type on a race car to adjust the track.

Go to Home Dipshit and buy some 1/8' aluminum and make some.

Paul, that would be great if I had access to a band saw or a lathe, which I currently do not.

1/8" aluminum can be cut with a $20 jigsaw with a metal cutting blade or a hacksaw.
