So, another question. Can fiberglass panels somehow be smoothly molded to the steel unibody, or do they have to be separate panels fastened on with rivets or something? I have many skills, but bodywork is not one of them. biggrin.gif Thanks.

How so? Is it something someone who is clueless can do? biggrin.gif Bondo?

Yes, sort of.

Bond the FG to the body, and most of the blending will be done with the resin. Final smoothing is done with body putty.

Thats the ol' red necked racer, right?
Andyrew
Yup thats Definitely JP's old car

Problem with HPH flares is they were made to go OVER factory sheet metal.. Lots of blend work is necessary to make them work as a bonded flare.

As with any glass.

Use Vette Bond and Mar-Glass. Tons of instructions on "The Google".

Eric, but the flares were made to go on TOP of the existing fenders as a rivet on fender. Not molded in. It takes special shaping and cutting of the fenders to make them look right as a molded in set.

You might want to check out Chris' flares he has on his site also!!!

Understood... I've seen them in action at Rich's shop. What I'm saying is all glass need a good amount of work. The edge is just that... and edge. BTDT.
