Okay, so Tisch (1972 1.7l) had been back on the road for about a month. I got to put around 1500 (odo not working) miles on her. I am driving home from work and here a sound that I can only compare to the sound of putting a playing card in your spokes as a child. Car dies when clutch goes in, engine kicks back on when clutch let out. Coasted almost all the way home and CLUNK, car dies completely. Car will crank and car will go into gears, but will not start. I know that this is little to go by, but if you have any ideas on where to start, I would appreciate them.

Yep, not much to go on, but it could be your clutch disc or PP totally let go.
