The kit never came with instructions. Photos from other installs are your best template for the job. The things that are most important to do first and before panting are the slots in the headlamp buckets, for the riser locks and the mounts for the riser pistons that need to be welded in on each side at the wheel well. Both I had to do after painting. due to my not having the kit soon enough. The riser mounts can be modified to work with no welding by cutting them down and bolting them as I did. The slots for the riser locks have to be done with the entire headlamp mount removed from the bucket.

yeah because they are way cheaper when bought separately I am sure.... gas shocks are only like 20 bucks

What you are really paying for here is the stamped and machined parts. This kit looks like assembling a V2 rocket when you get it. There's all kinds of parts and pieces. Nice install.

Full open 12" full compressed 7.5" I know it can be done cheeper but way to much f#@king around for the savings. This kit is on E-Bay from time to time for around $400+.. The kit was complete and works very well after you figure out how to install it. Ben

Very nice kit. I have now had it on the car for 6 months and it works fantastic. Ben.

Do you recall the size of the bolts that hold on the triangle plates?

Interesting - never seen this kit. How does it work? (Feel free to point me to a post in lieu of actual explanation)

Chad, this is a replica of the GT kit. It works by pulling the t-bar knob on the dash. This releases the catch and the headlights raise. You have to push the headlights back down by hand.

Reviving this for more details.
This was the only thread I found on installing the GT headlight kit.

Are there pictures of how the shocks mount to the headlight bracket?
Any information would be helpful!
