The fiberboard type material that is between the firewall and my back pad seems to have slouched down and taken a big crease in it. You can see at the top, that its slid down about 6" below the loops for the backpad hooks.
It does not want to just pull up, the crease has take a set. Is there anyway (heat? Soaking?) to fix it? Are new ones available? Or should I just chuck it and go without?
Click to view attachmentthey really do keep the noise down, ecspeaily when glued securely to the wall they are trying to dampen the sound thru. this one is unglued, so not as effective.
use a heat gun to soften it and get the folds out and recontour. then re-glue it.
looks as though it willhave to be removed to work outhe folds
make sure yoru rear window seel is water tight while yoru at it, for now would be the time to fix any leak, leaks there = rust on yoru floors.
