So it is time to start a new Hope Returns progress thread as my car drove from my house to an event and then drove BACK to the garage with very little fan fare.
It ran like crap, gushed huge plumes of blue then black smoke and fought me tooth and nail both directions! I think it is because I didnt wash it before taking it out in public...
Looks like I am in the market for some better ignition parts and carb linkage...

Dump those carbs & go back to FI

For now I am keeping the carbs, it would cost too much to go back... $$ and emotionally

These old cars need to be driven, get it used to being on the road again!
