Hello Group,

Might want to check this out in one of my favourite magazines:

http://www.classicandsportscar.com/

Regards to all.

Overall, a pretty good article - although I disagree with the dings on the 914's styling, as it's proven to be a forebear of later styling trends, & perhaps suffered most from being too different from the Porsche "roundy" designs on the day.

However, if this guy is a pro writer - which I assume he is - then he really needs to pay more attention to proofreading his work! Several spots I had to reread several times to figure out that he'd either misspelled something, left words out or used wrong wording (fights for lights, etc.), & in one case he jumps from discussing the engine output of the 2.0 /4 to the 1.7/1.8 without even stating so!!!! blink.gif

I also had to "translate" in my mind from Jolly 'Ole ENGLISH to English - for boot, wings, bonnet, windscreen, etc.! biggrin.gif

Oh - and ..... welcome.png

I disagree, I think the article is another rehash of the same stuff again, and anything added is basically Bollocks. Garrick club blah blah ...

Err you will find it is English into Americlish..... smile.gif

But you appear to forget, my dear Veltror, that the 914 is an endangered species over yonder in England, apart from yourself and a few other brave souls!

It's not a Porsche, not sure why they keep entering the 'P' word into the article? I don't know about the rest of you guys, but mine says VW-TYPE47.

Sheese, people need to get their facts straight. biggrin.gif
