I was wondering are the 911 and 914 Torsion bars the same?? Can the 911 torsion bars from 66-89 be interchangeable for a 914-4
chunger
I believe the splines are different. If you use the 911 torsion bars, you have to use the 911 A-arms as well.

Yes the spline count is different..

plus the spring rate is different too...
The usual # thrown around is technically rounded up but the 911 is commonly known as a 19mm bar which is more than the 914...

actually, 914/4 and 914/6 used the same sizes, 17,9mm.

Yup...diff...UNLESS you swap in a 911 front end...then you can use 911 t-bars...
brant
wow rich...

I never knew the -6 also had the 18mm bars...
I always assumed they had the 19's too..
