Like the title says, I am looking for old, scanned photos of 914's in their yesteryears (70's-90's). I have a Flickr group for Vintage 914 Pictures, and I would like to add some more classic shots. I have snagged a few off of the board here, but I need more! biggrin.gif

Those of you that have helped me so far, thank you very much!

Wow, this is great!

although I have to say that the 914 shots in the demolition derby make me cringe...

I'll see what I have to offer.

Feel free to use this one. It's a picture of my dad in his car around 73 or 74.

Here's a couple of my first 914 taken in the '70's & 80's. The first was in the '70's with the "tank" beside it. The second was in the '80's "frozen" to the parking lot....

First picture, my wife and our first 914, circa 1977 . . . .

Second picture, same car circa 1980 . . . .

I'm happily married (34 years this November) to my beautiful wife and wish I still had that great little L20E '72. . . .

I don't know the history of this one but I have always liked it.

Wow, the european models could pull boats! Stupid American emission standards. mad.gif And it looks so easy even a girl could do it. :-)

This is a great idea, it shows the historical use and perspective of the original and subsequent owners of these cars.

1986 at the start of the rebuild....which will end one owner later (myself) in spring 2011...hopefully...

That car was driven by a Senator, I think his name was McClain (?)

I have thousands of pictures of 914s, do you really want me to shut down the server? biggrin.gif

I had been grabbing them up on the post as much as possible. If you have shots of street cars....well that may narrow it down a bit! lol-2.gif

Her my 75 2.0 in early 1987 while I was in my Sr. year at the University of Florida in Gainesville, FL. Some great times in that car and at school. We used to autocross in one of the commuter parking lot once a month with a bunch of local sportscar guys..we had everything from 911's, 914's, Vettes, Z's, RX's etc. etc. etc.

A few pics of some cool 914's in Gaineville, FL 1986. We rebuilt the motors in these two cars on engine stands in our apartment kitchen. The yellow one is my 75 914 2.0 and the other was my roomies 74 914-8 conversion. These cars were a lot of fun. He loved to show his muscle and burn some tread with the -8. The last pic was taken when I drove up to Montreal from Gainesvile in the summer of 1985 and took the car on the Circuit Gille Villeneuve for some fun!
