Was wondering what opinions we have about additives??

What Brands do members use/recomend?

What works and what is a waste of money?

What should be avoided?

BG44 and LubroMoly VentilSauber in the gas, LubroMoly MoS2 in the oil.

BG makes an oil additive as well, MOA.

No additives at all in the oil (on any of my cars!), the occasional bottle of Redline Injector Cleaner in the gas tank.

I'm going to run the MoS2 for the first two sumps om the "NEW" engine, hoping it helps the cam live.

BG44 is the only thing I would ever put in the gas on one of my cars, but I have used the ventil sauber to claen valves by allowing the car to suck it in through a vac line and letting it sit on other cars.

(Lubro Moly has instructions for doing this IIRC. BE VERY carefull doing it lest you cause engine damage)

So basically I agree!

I usually run none, but when I do use something these three plus GM EOS are the only things I would ever consider.

I second Dave, as i've used Redline's fuel system cleaner for over 6 years. One bottle every 5k in every car I own. Have seen first hand how clean it leaves the combustion chamber and valves during engine teardowns.
