SO I have squandered another weekend and not completed a single 914 task!! I figure the next event I have a shot at making in this car is Memorial Day.
Dizzy from all the gas fumes, I have decided to leave it up to a vote from the group just how deep to go in the hole this time. Oh yes, other suggestions are welcome, but lets limit it to the front of the car... Sorry no wings.

Great minds think Alike. (I think) Just pulled out the fuel tank last night. What a pit it is underneath. Have the Fuel pump out of the original location. I was hoping to have more interest in this topic. Where have people put the pump, how was it wired? Do you just splice into and lengthen/ re route the power wires.
Needed New fuel lines anyway now my question is will the plastic lines through the tunnel be up to the task of being pressurized.

There are a couple of good threads out there already and Pelican has some tech articals as well.
Here is a question for everybody. I have two brass pipes going into the tunnle (up front) and plastic coming out the other end
Where is the splice most likely located?

Hey, someone put colored carpet pads in the tank area! Mine has the original gray felt type pads.
When the tank is out you can replace the fuel lines up front. And if you don't need rust repair and paint you can still give the area a good cleaning. I used Fast Orange degreaser and the front trunk came out looking pretty good.
