I am new to the 914 and i hear alot of you mention the hell hole. What are you talking about?

this is the "HellHole". The battery acid rots away the battery tray and then the long underneath.

Rust weevils got to that car!

Well im going to go check it out on mine tomorrow morning. Im I screwed if i have a bunch of Corrosion there, Is there a fix?

Cut out the cancer and weld in some new metal.

Rust in the hell hole is bad.
Rust in the longs is dangerous.

The hell hole is not too bad to work in, assuming the engine is out. May as well repair the entire engine compartment.
