Looking for one that'll handle to normal 914 part size
(trailing arms, a-arms and such)

Running out of air should not be a problem since I think I'm going to install it at work which has a 60+ gallon tank and a 7.5hp rotary compressor.

Anyone have the cheaper Harbor Frieght units???

Yup. The $200 ($220?) unit. Works just fine. Can't see paying $500+ for a sheetmetal box. Sometimes they even blow 'em out on sale for sub-200. Seriously, I've had mine for 2 or 3 years and it works just great.

I made mine. It works great. 3/4" mdf, long sandblasting gloves and a siphon sandblaster. I made it 36"w x 30"d x 24"h so it will hold big parts. It turned out very good, totaly air tight and I have had no problems so far.

I thought I had saved a site that had directions for making your own cabinet, but I cannot seem to find it right now.

Keep in mind a vacuum. You will be filling this box with air so it will have to come out somewhere. When it does come out, its really dusty and nasty. Shop Vacs are really loud and not ment to run for a long time. I burned one up before changing to an old Electrolux. It doesnt suck as hard as a shop vac but it filters better and is quieter.
