I have a set of weber 44 idfs that need to be rebuilt and have a few questions.

1. where the throttle shaft meets the throttle plates is slight corosion on one carb what is the best way to remove the screws holding the plates on. drill? grind? any recomendations.

2. what is the best way to remove the choke tubes and aux. venturis?

currently i am running a 1.8 with L-jet F.I. and will keep it as long as it holds up. Not sure what I am going to do with the carbs but figured i would rebuild them because they were laying around. Figured if i ever build a larger motor iwould use them.

I used a big screwdriver for the tubes and CB Performaces' book on how to tune your weber carbs!
Getting rid of the carbs, but I am keepin the book! I recomened it over the Offical Weber book. Pretty much the same info, some of it verbatum copy between the two!
They also have some decent prices on rebuild supplies.
