Preston, your check didn't even make a little dent biggrin.gif

I'm glad I paid for most of this when the economy was good - this is a Big $$$ motor - over 300HP

It belongs inside the house tonight. It's going to be cool here.

2.8 Factory Pistons & Cylinders

Since the factory 2,8RSR heads have huge combustion chambers and are rare and expensive, how did you manage to keep the CR manageable?

Did you find a stash of 2,8 heads, or do some other magick ?

For my 2,8 I'm thinking Nickies and JE's just to keep the rest of the custom work to a minimum...

Hey Rich, For the heads we used were 2.7 that were ported and Twin-plugged by JB Racing. The CR is 11.5/1 so it will drinking a race gas / non ethanol pump cocktail.

Having the same problem when building my engine with factory 92mm p/c and ending up doing alot of work on a set of 2.7L heads to get the compression ratio down to a pump gas level...for a future project I would certainly consider this alternative!!

http://www.xtremecylinderheads.com/index.html

The are cast heads that can be CNCed to any configuration. I have no idea what the cost for the work on these would be, but, you would get exactly what you are looking for.

Very nice! Where can I get a single belt engine pulley like that? My 3.0 came with a two belt pulley and it won't fit behind my fiberglass engine tin. I won't be running AC or an airpump and only one alternator belt is needed. I could easily trim the tin but would prefer not to.

I will find where Mike got it ( he might make those). It is bigger than stock ( so the Fan actually turns faster for more cooling), but it will not fit in a Stock 914-6 Cradle Mount without Machining the Cradle
