I've been trying to buy this clip forever and can't seem to get it right.

The part number, per various sources is 999.166.017.02. However, when I tried to buy this from AA they told me the part number has been superceded and they sent me two zip ties???

I've tried to Google it and get 5 different results. Why are these so hard to find?

I'm starting to get a complex. headbang.gif

Does anyone know where to get these or have any for sale?

Thanks

Brake line clips? How many do you need smile.gif

Doesn't look like a standard line clip... is it the handbrake cable clip?

DC says they're in stock but... I think their system is automated:

You're not the only one that wants to know. laugh.gif Please, tell us. Thanks.

And tell us what those are. As has been said, they don't look like standard brake line clips.

Mark - the zip ties were $2.15 each wacko.gif

Eric - That is not the actual clip which I included in my original post. That is a clip I bought from a local hydraulic house for industrial hoses - which I foolishly prayed might actually work - not.

I found the brake 'HOSE' clips but cannot find any reference to the parking brake cable clips. Is it possible that every Porsche technical drawing is wrong - and that the clips are simply one and the same?

If so then my problem is solved.

Anyone know?

Actually figured out that I have ordered the correct part and was shipped the wrong part.

The real part is a C-shaped clip.

I also found out that the brake HOSE clip I was going to use will not work.

Thanks again.

I put in part # 914 355 665 00 into the site Eric showed and they show it

as a brake hose bracket and that 8ea. are recomended. I think that they

would serve all the applications.

Check with Rich rdauenhauer that posted here and he could fix you up as

well as let you know if there is a differance between the parking and hose lines

That clip looks just like the clips that hold on the brake check rod going into the MC on Beetles and just about every air-cooled VW.

Yep. That sure does look like the same part. Hopefully AA will straighten things out and send the right ones soon.
