Could you post some pictures of your fire extinguisher mounts. I want to mount one in my car, but not sure where is best with out drilling a bunch of holes either.

no photograph, but mine is wedged behind the driver seat, easy access that way.

Great thread! what type to look for when getting one for cars? I know that some of them are not recommended for cars based on the chemical used.

In a previous teener I mounted a 2.5lb Halon Amerex unit between the seats in the tray/compartment thingie (I removed its lid). Worked well -- you want it to be within the driver's reach while seat-belted in ideally.
