Well, I know you west coast guys drive your cars all year, but up here in Boston there's a foot of snow in the forecast...
What do folks have planned for the off-season? Here's my plan:
- Trans Rebuild -- packed and shipped down to Blue Sky already
- Rip out old carpet, remove tar, POR15, dynamat, new carpet kit from 914AP
- recondition my bumper tops, Install my new-to-me rear bumper
- the usual: oil/filter change, valve adjust, spark plugs
- Replace my driver's-side front trunk flapper valve (this one should be fun)
- Re-route my pass side oil cooler lines so I can reclaim pass side heat
That's all I can think of for now. After this winter my car should be good to go for awhile, barring any additional unforeseen events -- got to get her totally sorted for some DE events in the spring!
Let's hear your plans.

I'm heading back to the desert next week so no car work for me until the Fall. On the bright side, by then I'll have enough cash saved up to do a complete 914 resto and still buy myself a new motorcycle.

As I enter the new year out of work I'll have time to:
Degrease and reseal my GC 2.0L
Rebuild pair of 40mm Webers
Repair rust in trunk and hell hole area
Install flares, nose, and tail
Find some racing buckets and redo interior
I've learned that you never get the time back so use it wisely.

Yeah Rob...sure... We just got pounded with 5-10 inches of rain in a week . We don't know how to handle that down here.
I hope its not a sign of things to come for us down here this winter.

Not as many plans as I had last year.
I need to get a pipe expander and work on my exhaust a bit, and pretty up some wires, but other then that, its ready for driving in the spring.

My car seems to get pulled into dd status frequently lately when the kids cars die (old bmws) and I have to lend one of 'em my old bmw. Just had to replace an alternator on one last week, and I'm waiting for the clutch cylinder to come in for the other.
so-
I GOTTA fix that heater blower ASAP

Same plans as last year plus the addition of doing a 6 conversion.
Good news is I have 3/4 of the parts and the lift is getting installed this week!!!
Just need to start cleaning and selling off /4 parts to pay for the /6 conversion!

Just finished building a 2432 stroker motor that should make close to 200HP and 200LbsFt of Torque, the latter from 3500 through 6000RPM. That should be entertaining. Need to fire it and break the cam in probably next week then dress it up with the SDS injection including crank fired ignition. Goal here is to have it well tuned and have some street seat time before the spring autocross and track days start. Thanks to Raby Aircooled Technology for the recipe and the parts to do this engine...
Next up, McMark will be welding on some steel flares and we will fit some Getty flared valances and rockers. Rear will be custom flared stock. This means I will be putting on my custom built RSR finish 8.5X16 rear and 7X16 front wheels with some Hoosier A6 shoes. Thanks to Weidman Wheels for making these up for me...
Also this winter, a little more interior work. I have ordered door panels and carpet from 914AP in November and I hope it comes soon as I have some work to do on my doors and I want everything here when I do.

Rob - WOW. Can't wait to hop over to Sonoma and watch the progress.
For sure this winter I will install new stereo, dash, and hopefully weld up rusty holes in floor pan and fix "leaks", repaint interior, and finish with new carpet.
I have way more I am thinking about, but need to set sights low and keep goals realistic. Tired of "over thinking and under-doing"
