Until I get back from Pocono next weekend beerchug.gif

Tomorrow the car is going back on the alignment rack, Ill be swapping the heavy ass springs that are in the car for the following.

Front #350
Rear #200

Ill then adjust the corner balance, and recheck the alignment

(gotta love the barter system. I help my friend out with his 935 clone, and I get to use his shop and hunter alignment rack!!!)

Ill let yous guys know how it works out

Im a 914 newbie so any input is welcome

What size front bar ??

The rears are a little light for a 9146. I would have started out with 250's.

You'll be fine for starting out.

pray.gif Thanks Brad,

Actually I was set on doing #450 front #350 rear

forgot to measure the sway bar dia smash.gif

I have access to springs from #150 to #1000 so any combination is possible

Im learning the correct ratio between front and rear springs now..

Cant wait to get on the banking at Pocono beer.gif

I forget which 914 you have, but we will run 300's in the rear on a car with 10inch Goodyear R430 slicks.

You'll find the correct combo quickly. I'm concerned (now) that you started off too low. I know the car will want to sit into that banking.

Brad

914 with a 3.2, carbs, web cam 20-21's, RSR struts,
short stack side shifter, 7&9 w/ hoosiers

I have tons of seat time at Pocono in my 911....

zero time in a 914

I'm not sure how many days you will be there, but focus on what the car is doing and what you can do with the car. If your there more than one day and this isnt for points.. then I would make some changes.

Your going to be happy either way. The 914 is a blast to drive fast.

ok did the spring swap, and put it all back together...... played with the corner balance... but had to cut that short cuz my friend (that owns the shop) had to pick up his kids...

I now have the suspension resolved..

The springs I took off the car were #600 front #650 rear.

Whats up with that?

I decided on #450 front and #350 rear..... because they were free

heres a pic of the springs I just removed
