My friend Tim and I were loading his race car to go to the Porsche Club race in Sebring. Looks like he is ready to run the Monte Carlo.

Cool car, I remeber seeing a toy car in this design but with out the big fenders....did they really have police cars like that before..... I saw a Nissan Skyline GTR police car the other day on the Highway here in Japan and that was cool

Yes they were more than toys - the toys were modeled after real cars

We paid our dues on the way down, we drove a motor home from Chicago thru the blizzard. There was no heat, we were in sub freezing temps for 13 hrs. I would do it all over again!

Tim's steering wheel lock became disengage at the last race last year and went tail first into the tires. The rear panel was damaged as well as the trunk floor.Click to view attachment

Garold was cutting up ANOTHER car that had a nice rear panel so we picked it up for the repair.

I trimmed off the quarter panels and stripped the piece yesterday

I was able to get the rear piece fitted last night, a little more trimming and it is ready to weld in.

I had to relief cut the side and hammer the side back to original shape
