The early engine was a 1990cc, 65mm bore by 50mm stroke, 4 valves per cylinder, overhead cam, SWEET ENGINE!!! Later engines were bumped to 2556. Interesting exhaust manifolds. Look like some improvements could be made there, depending on fit.

I had a friend years ago that had a 308, when I had my first 914. I always felt the longitutidnaly ( SP ) mounted 308 engine and box would be a great fit for a 914. very Sacreligious tho.
Any thoughts, besides spelling corrections?

Well, it's not a 308 engine but now that you mention it there is this... piratenanner.gif

Although out inner trailing-arm ears (at a minimum) would be an itch. I see a tube frame rear-end in that scenario. sawzall-smiley.gif smash.gif
