does anyone know of a reputable engine builder in nj.powertech in rockaway nj works on 914s has anybody used these guys. popcorn[1].gif

Shine Racing in MA has been doing rebuilds for 30 plus years....still up to date and pretty decent motors.

Chris Foley may be into it also...I know Ed can rebuild most anything.

We just re-rebuilt an engine originally done by Powertech - for someone who lives in NJ.

Had few things done a number of years ago by them. Was not happy at all with the work performed.

Fairly important item to choose your rebuilder based upon convenience.
We brought a whole car down and back to get the metal work done.
Worth the effort, certainly for a motor...

Its two hours Ray....park the motor in another car and bring it up.
As McMark has shown us, a stripped motor (no tin or fan housing) fits in the front trunk of a 914.
