I have a lead on front struts, shocks, rotors, hubs, calipers with brake pads and steel brake lines off a running 1985 Carrera.

According to the seller, they are in bolt on condition.

Asking price $850

Is this a fair price? huh.gif

Thanx for everyone's input. beer.gif

Thanx Mike.

Of coarse how do I convince my wife that I need to spend a bunch on this, which will lead to expensive wheels and tires as well.

seems a bit on the steep side to me... sad.gif

That seems high. I had one opportunity to buy same type of equipment for $350 + shipping and another for $500. Did you find anything on PP?
matthepcat
Wow, that is quite a bit cheaper!

I have not done much searching on PP, as a local seller is much easier.

Thanx for the PP idea.

IIRC I bought my stuff for 500 or so. This was ~ 7 years ago. Same amount of stuff, I also had new rotors and raised spindals. Granted it was a steal, I think in this market that should be about the price you should pay.

Lo - $350.00
Hi - $700.00

And those prices are for a complete front end, ready to bolt in without assembly.
matthepcat
Thanx for the input guys.

Looks like I need to do some negotiation.

Matt

Extremely high... I'll reserve comment about that suspension in general.
Krieger
I'd paid $400 for complete 86 carrera struts with bilstein shocks at Parts Heaven swap when the economy was good. Assume the rotors are near done, probably new bearings

Extremely high for this suspension, or just in general?

My application is a street car with a v8 conversion.

Place a WTB on pelican and request local seller. You should get replies and at worst, use it to negotiate your current deal.

I just sold front and rear 5 lug setup minus rotors and callipers for $400 to New Mexico.

Now that is a good deal Mike. Was yours an early 911T suspension?

Yep. 3" calliper spacing. Real 5 lug rear hubs, no re-drill.
