After 10+ years of disassembly, jackstands, bodywork, "other car" transfer of engine + transmission, lots of world parts, 914 rubber, and time, I took Buddy for a ride with the top off last Sun just around the neighborhood (not registered yet).
It was all worth it.

Frist drive in my car felt totally surreal.
To go from rusty, inanimate object clogging up my life for 2 years to living and
breathing car made me look at it totally differently after that.
