So I dropped the drive train and have it torn down to the case but that's another thread. I have some non std #'s on this existing djet. It is a 73 2.0 GC (originally a 1.7 hint). The ECU is 021A VW or 052 Bosch std for the GC; the MPS is 051E which is for a 1.7. BTW, George had previously mentioned it would be fine except a little lean at higher rpm's; these next two, I have no idea. The Dizzy is a 022 905 205Q ??? and the CHT sensor is 0 280 130 017 ??? The injectors are 038 green.
Next question, any input on this integrated FI combo?

OK, So where did you find Dizzy #022 905 205Q and the CHT sensor #0 280 130 017 listed on landers site. I've read that thing 50 times in the past year but somehow cannot find these numbers on his site. Maybe you could locate that for me because I ain't finding them. Couldn't find them on PET, Bowsley or Keil's site, either.

OK, a 73 2.0L case should be a GA as a GC is a 75-76 case.
a 052 ECU is again a 75-76 ECU
need the other numbers for the MPS as it should end in 043 or 037 for a 2.0L. A 1.7 MPS is leaner at WOT yes, but that ECU runs even leaner than the 73 or 74 ECU's. Its actually quite abit leaner at WOT so you should adjust it .
The CHT is a 73 2.0L one so sell it and get the 012 CHT which is correct for the 052 ECu.

I was hoping that you would have time to chime in. Embarrassed that I read over the CHT several times; thx. I finally found the dizzy; on PP parts catalogue. It is for a '72 1.7. Care to enlighten me re: adjustment of the ECU? Just the thought scares the hell outa me. So a quick recap of this Frankenstein FI conglomeration. First, yes it is a '75-'76 engine, the correct '75-'76 ECU, a '73 MPS (051E), a '73 2.0 CHT (017) and a '72 1.7 Dizzy (VW #205Q or Bosch #007). The ECU can be adjusted??? the mps can be adjusted??? the wrong CHT sensor, and a dizzy that is yet to be decided?
Bleyseng
NO, you can't adjust the ECU just the MPS. With that 052 ECU you must use a 043 MPS and 012 CHT for a stock 2.0L. Even if it is for a 2056 with a Raby cam use a 052 ECU with a 012 CHT and the MPS must be adjusted for it to run right.
The dizzy really doesn't matter what number or year as long as it works correctly and doesn't have slop in the shaft from the shaft wearing out the aluminum. Have it rebuilt with bronze bushings installed to fix that and get a steady spark and trigger signal.

022 905 205Q = '72 - '73 914 1.7L in USA ..... Bosch number would be 0 231 174 007 / 008 .... used ROW '71 - '72 914

Replacement for all the above is 0 231 174 011 = '72 - '75 914 2.0L

0 280 130 017 is listed as "Temp Sensor - Intake Air " by Bosch, so it is NOT the CHT. Used on '72 - '75 914/VW 2.0L VW Part number is 022 906 041 A

Now does that help? If you want to argue with descriptions and applications, call Robert Bosch GmbH ... info is direct from 2011 ESI[tronic]

let's see a pic of it..

SLITS generally scratched a "C" on his MPS's just cuz he likes to...

"280 130 017 is listed as "Temp Sensor - Intake Air"

Well, the 0 280 130 017 is listed as the 73 2.0L CHT on BAnders site so I go with that any day over some stupid Bosch site part number.

http://members.rennlist.com/pbanders/DJetParts.htm go there to check it out.
Wish I still had a stash of those...crap I sold all the ones I had to poor guys with 73's a few years ago.

Guess I better load the 2008 version, maybe it has the correct translation of Bosch Numbers.

Robert musta been smoke.gif when they compiled the DVD.

OK, I'm clear now. The dizzy is in fantastic shape so I'll give it a try although I think I should block off the vac retard side if I want to set it up as a true GC, right? Also, I have a spare 043 but I could just as easily be tempted to adjust the 052E with a little guidance. I'll take anything apart, once. lol-2.gif So your saying the CHT sender has value...........hmm. Sounds like something to barter with.
